sew many of my daughter's dresses (like the Thanksgiving 2003 dress at left)
because I have difficulty finding classic, modest clothing for pre-teen
girls in the stores today.
I've met many other moms who share my sentiments, so from time to time each year, I make a limited number of my unique dresses -- sizes 3 to 10 -- available for sale here on my website.
My designs are classic, not trendy, with wide, full skirts that fall below the knee. They designed to allow little girls to continue to look like little girls during their pre-teen years.
Each dress is individually crafted to your child's unique measurements. Most are 100% cotton. I use a single pattern of my own design, which is available in several variations. Most dresses include a 4" hem which you can let out as your child grows taller.
What is a "Praise Hem"?
"...whatsoever
you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Using this verse as my sewing theme, I embroider a praise, verse, blessing, or hymn lyric in the hem of most dresses. For example, my 2003 Fourth of July dress (at right) read, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
When the embroidery on the dress itself contains a "praise," I often omit it from the hem.
How do I know what size to order? Take your child's measurements and compare them against this chart to order the appropriate size. If your child's measurements differ significantly from this chart, email me the measurements so I can custom draft a pattern that will fit. There is a $5 charge for pattern alterations.
What fabrics are available? My selection is constantly changing, but a few are shown here. Please be aware that I have limited amounts of each fabric, and often sell out very quickly. Email me.
Cleaning instructions: Most of my fabrics are 100% cotton. They may fade if washed in warm or hot water and will wrinkle if tumbled until fully dry.
For best results, dry clean.
To wash, turn inside out to protect embroidery, and wash in cold water with like colors only. Tumble until damp, then turn right side out and hang until dry. Press with iron on cotton setting for most of my fabrics (I'll give separate instructions for others).
