More Christmas dresses, 2005. All say:
All the above dresses are for Christmas, 2005. All say:
"The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord"
Custom embroidery for the bodice and waistband of a baptism dress in
progress. The young girl chose the rainbow theme and sent me the
words of a song which was meaningful to her. I incorporated both
into the design, as well as her a specially chosen Bible verse, her full
name, and the date of her upcoming baptism (which will appear in gold on
the skirt). Special orders like this one require extra time and may
cost up to $100, depending on complexity.
These dresses were custom-designed for the Christian dedication service of three adopted African daughters (shown in several photos on this page). Each dress has the girl's full name and its meaning embroidered on the outside of the skirt hem to add to the significance of the occasion. The piped collar and the skirt pleats were custom details for these particular dresses, and are not normally available on Praise Hem dresses.
The embroidery work I did on my son's baptismal robe. (See photo here.) He chose two embroidery designs, which I combined. The inside of the hem gives his complete name and baptism date.
